The Ponies

Dales ponies are originally from northern England and are currently listed as critically endangered with a population of 500 in the US. Dark Horse Ranch has acquired 4 Dales Ponies to use for breeding, training, and riding. In 2018 and 2019 we welcomed our first black ponies Mari and Neesie. They have such a beautiful presence and such wonderful personalities and have been the perfect addition to our farm. In 2023 proudly announced the arrival of our first filly foal DarkHorseDales Lyric, a blue roan and she certainly knows how special she is, being one of 2 blue roan fillies in the US. In 2024 we welcome the arrival of our blue roan gelding Blackshadow Northstar from Blackshadow Dales in NY. Dark Horse Ranch is a proud member of the Dales Pony Society.
